Warehouse Logistics Manager

The Warehouse Manager supports all business channels including Retail, Wholesale and Ecommerce by managing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. The Warehouse Manager will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. The goal is to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running efficiently.

Essential functions:
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution services of merchandise stock and sample inventory at company's NYC-area warehouse
- Partner with business unit leaders to ensure special requests and order/customer shipping requirements are met
- Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; follow-up on work results
- Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Develop and maintain warehouse protocol and standards
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciles with ERP system
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new racking and floor layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders or repair
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; advise management on needed actions
- Contribute to the hands-on team effort in order to meet operational requirements as needed
- Additional tasks as necessary

Qualifications and skill requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in warehousing, distribution, and/or shipping management required
- 1-3 years of experience in P&D/Transportation management and vehicle maintenance preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage a large team
- Excellent judgment-making skills
- Ability to perform the physical tasks required of working in a warehouse
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
