US Navy Shipboard Regional Sales Manager

The Navy Shipboard Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the success of the Navy Shipboard department to develop sales for our equipment and services. Using an existing support team, the RSM will work directly with customers onboard US Navy ships located throughout the US and internationally. In addition, the Regional Sales Manager will call on and build sales with US based shipyards, ship builders and repair and maintenance companies.

Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Familiar with US Navy shipboard galley equipment and requirements, must have permanent access to the military bases.
- Strong customer focus targeting and growing these relationships
- Meet and exceed sales goals by working with existing sales team
- Develop sales plans and strategies to achieve optimal sales success
- Site Visits as needed to build sales growth and maintain client relationships
- Be familiar with layouts and design services
- Must provide clear direction and strong communication to the support personnel located remote
- Must provide clear communication to customers and vendors
- Must balance travel costs with the regional budget
- Will work closely with support team located in Region office in Phoenix, AZ

Competencies, skills and abilities:
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working independently in a growth-oriented, fast-paced environment with conflicting demands and varying time zones both domestic and international
- Familiar with blueprints and drawings
- Excellent organization and time management skills (ability to set and meet deadlines)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with all levels of staff, management and customers
- Ability to negotiate in a professional manner with positive outcomes
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to exhibit and exercise sound judgment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Education and experience:
- Navy Food Service experience background a plus
- Willingness to build on equipment knowledge base through training and ongoing education.
