Job Description

This organization is a prime contractor, and a leading technology innovator and supplier of integrated products, services and support to military forces, intelligence agencies and defense contractors worldwide. The company specializes in naval and maritime systems, ground combat mission command and network computing, global satellite communications and network infrastructure, avionics systems, and intelligence and security solutions.

The company also builds power systems and electro-optical/infrared systems for a wide range of commercial customers. They are currently looking for a Training Instructor at their St. Louis location.

The ideal candidate will develop test, maintain, and deliver training programs and related materials in support of complex products and procedures and for minor areas or customers.

Job responsibilities:

- Develop tests, maintain, and deliver training programs and related materials in support of complex products and procedures and/or for a major area or customer
- Establish and/or review course content and objectives
- Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities
- Update course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
- Regularly report progress and status of assigned task
- Maintain measurement tools
- Complete assigned tasks on time, within specified parameters of cost, and meeting technical requirements
- Communicate clearly (written and orally) with other company personnel and the customer as required
- May provide work leadership for lower-level employees, including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Attend and participate in appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings.

Candidates need strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and must be able to effectively read and understand electrical schematics, flow diagrams and technical drawings. A strong technical instructor coming out of the military will be a perfect fit. 30-40% travel.
