As the 1st shift Team Leader you will help participate in daily meetings and project teams. You will have the opportunity to think proactively and understand how formulation effects plant flow. You'll set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire superlative performance in order to support the Company. You'll grow, develop, and stretch yourself by continuing to find new and better ways to meet your commitments to yourself, your team and to the Company. You will effectively lead all aspects of safety in the Harvest department, address issues with safety immediately, and be a safety champion. The Team Leader proficiently leads the Harvest department in the areas of quality, productivity, performance, and develop improvement plans in these areas. The Team Leader drives Member ownership of these areas. You'll lead the evaluation of Members of Harvest teams and coordinate learning opportunities to enhance team development. You will lead staffing needs of lines and maintain budgeted resources to maximize line output and lowest cost production results. The Leader evaluates, coaches, and guides Members in need of development and lead a progressive disciplinary process by determining what, if any, discipline is needed. You'll work with others to properly allocate resources through daily production scheduling. You will lead effective team meetings. The Leader ensures the completion of daily production performance reports and shift paperwork. As the Team Leader you will foster Member engagement through the communication of information to Members. You will identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in Harvest operations. You must be able to create and promote a team environment, coach through conflict, and resolve current issues. The Team Leader interacts with USDA personnel. You need to be a role model to all Members.

This is a 1st shift opening (Monday - Friday 0430 - 1500) with an hourly pay ranging from $22 - $25 an hour with lots of overtime potential (averaging about 12 hours of overtime a week). Once you add the hourly pay and overtime, total compensation can be in the $60 - $70k range. With a bonus program averaging anywhere from $200 - $600 a month.
