Site Supervisor

Montgomery, AL

Industry: Chemicals/Semicond./Textiles Job Number: E966856F-5C70-4425-B1C9-3B01049C2357 Pay Rate: $90 - $100K

Job Description

In this role the candidate will have the responsibility for the day-to-day safe operation of the facility's operating equipment and production processes in compliance with all EH&S standards. While achieving a zero (0) lost time injury record, perform work duties by company quality systems, safety policies, and site-specific procedures. The Site Supervisor also monitors daily production processes to meet reliability, efficiency, and productivity goals.

Site Supervisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

- Overseeing the operations of the plants, identifying problems, and carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance.
- Interfacing regularly with other team members, customers, suppliers, vendors, regional maintenance support, and business area personnel.
- Following, updating, and maintaining operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Actively participating in the Basic Safety Process (BSP).

This role is an excellent fit for a technical, hands-on candidate who wants the responsibility of some of North America's largest industrial gas operating units. Although the role title is Site Supervisor, you supervise the plant's assets more than people. You will oversee one Operator and several drivers for the site (7-ish). You will have responsibility for all phases of operation for the plant. This role will require the candidate to understand all aspects of site responsibilities (plant operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer communications), specifically focusing on leadership and functional skills at the facility.

In the past, candidates with a navy nuclear background have fit due to their experience operating and maintaining complex process-orientated equipment. However, the company is looking for a jack of all trades, not necessarily a master of one. Mechanical/electrical/electronic system knowledge, SOPs, and owning the responsibility of the operations, including on-site safety.

This role requires a minimum response on-call status. Because of the sensitive nature of the systems and processes, you will need to be able to respond to the sites as you need to. However, the daily schedule is very flexible, and most people work a Monday-Friday schedule that has you home every night.

If you are a self-starter who is a safety-minded and technically deep person, you will excel in this opportunity.

Salary plus performance bonus and company vehicle. Medical, dental, vision, and a 401k.
