Job Description

This client is seeking a talented, dedicated military technical professional to join the team. Founded over 60 years ago, this company has been revitalized under new leadership and is reclaiming its space as a leader in food manufacturing machinery. They are investing in the business with new equipment, a broader product line, and additional resources, and customers are noticing. They doubled new machine sales each of the last two years. As they take on new equipment and focus on working more closely with customers they are looking to build a passionate, dedicated, customer focused team to grow the business.

Responsibilities include:

30% Machine Building in Shop (Billerica, MA)

- Assembling machines based on assembly drawings provided by engineering
- Ensuring that all machines are built on time, on budget, and 100% correctly
- Working with engineering to fix and modify any parts that are not correct
- Properly documenting build per shop
- Performing all work in a safe manner
- Providing additional shop leadership

45% Customer installations and demonstrations

- Commissioning machines at customer site
- Demonstrating the systems to operators, sanitation, and maintenance and making them excited about the system
- Staying until the customer is 100% satisfied and everything is working properly

10% Solving down customer systems (while in shop)

- Assisting customers over the phone with down machines
- Absolute sense of urgency to get the machine back up and running

10% Customer service calls

- Traveling to customer sites to perform routine maintenance
- Make everyone at the customer site is excited about the machine and how well it operates

5% Emergency service calls

- Travel immediately to customer site to get down machines back up and running
- Complete sense of urgency getting customers back and running as quickly as possible

Base salary, with voluntary overtime available, paid travel and expenses, cell phone plan, full benefits, relocation assistance on a case by case basis.
