Shift Manager

As a Shift Manager you will oversee shift operations in the plant to ensure all associates (21) are operating within safety guidelines, following quality protocols, delivering service level and financial business plan.

These leaders can grow an engaging shift culture, that fully utilizes the client's operating process and supply framework. They need someone who has depth in demonstrated leadership, who is not swayed easily and is decisive in their decision making, creating a successful team.

You will provide leadership of the associate workforce at the site (shipping, packaging, extrusion, mixing, shift mechanics) and manage shift escalations by each department and work to resolve and follow up with associates involved.

You will also manage shift-handover communication and reporting of results; conducting daily supervisor tours focused on Safety, Quality, Service and Efficiency by engaging each associate through the shift.

You will guarantee and apply ISO 9001 and 22000 Mars Standards are applied and supported and assist in development of objectives for each associate and Personal Development Plan for each as well.

You will need to ensure all incoming associates (internal and external) have proper training and tools to perform their job and ensure each associate understands and receives feedback on what is expected of them.

You will also have administrative duties as Line Manager (associate scheduling, P&O functions and so on.)

Use Continuous Improvement tools (5why/fishbone/RCA and so on.) to help steer team toward solution.

Shift Manager leads by utilizing the company's 5 Principles (Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom) as their compass for decision making at the site.

By engaging with other Shift Managers and the Leadership Team, the Shift Manager is able to be in the know, make decisions and inform and steer their team to success; by collaborating, and creating an engaging environment, where performance can thrive.

This is a rotating shift role, Monday-Friday roles that spend 2 weeks on first, 2 weeks on second and 2 weeks on third shift.


Base is $70 - $95k DOE and degree + 12% bonus and great benefits plan, cheap medical/dental/vision 3 weeks' vacation to start. 401k 6% match, 6% Pension, Free Life Ins, Relocation
