Their culture and values match the culture of the military and they have hired and want to continue to hire veterans. Their culture promotes fun and laughter daily, they believe in balanced lives: family, business and community and creates a positive work environment. They want candidates who are looking for careers and not just a job. There is plenty of room for upward mobility for people who want to really learn and build a career within this industry. They have started a Military Transition Program (MTP) where they will be hiring Veterans for positions in several locations across the country.

They are hiring for a Service Technician or Specialist role. In this role you will be responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned fire, security, or building automation projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity. You will deliver assigned projects effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules. You will act as a key interface for technical support with the customer and maximize customer satisfaction.

The key skillset that they are looking for in this role, is strong low voltage electronic system troubleshooting and repair experience to go along with networking experience as you will be integrating systems. If you have these skills, they will train you on their systems but make sure you let them know if you have alarm or security system experience. On top of this they emphasized that you would need to show you are a problem solver who is a self-starter, someone who has the excellent communication skills needed to provide great customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Reads basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures
- Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools

They have one opening in Sioux City and another in Des Moines IA and you can live within an hour of one of those offices. There is little overnight travel for this position, except for training purposes or if assistance in another area is needed. Travel projected at 20% or less (during training could be more). There is rarely any overtime as they believe in a true work/life balance.

Base salary DOE, along with full comprehensive benefits (ask for more details).
