Retail Store Manager

The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a store and leading a team of store employees to maximize sales and increasing profitability, improve the customer service experience, and creating a work environment that celebrates the mission and values of Company employees.

Essential job functions:
- Leads the development and operation of an assigned store to achieve the store's financial, customer, and employee metrics
- Creates an environment that drives positive relationships with Company customers and employees to successfully implement the company's mission services and enhance store's profitability
- Key decision maker in improving operational processes and workflows that enhance the efficiency and quality of store results
- Hires, trains, and supervises retail employees; forecasts and schedules to optimal staffing levels
- Maintains a safe work environment for employees and customers
- Responsible for skill development and cross-training of Assistant Store Managers, Team Leaders and other employees
- Ensures that the facility is branded and merchandised in a manner to attract and retain customers and donors, driving overall improvement in customer satisfaction scores
- Promotes the company in the community by coordinating store events, such as new store openings or grand re-openings, customer appreciation days, and so on
- Complies with established Company policies and procedures and collaboratively works with cross-functional departments to achieve desired store results
- Performs other duties as assigned

Reports to: Regional Retail Manager

- Expect to work 40-50 hours/week on average. You may put in more time if you feel your store needs it, however it is up to you
- You will have an Assistant Manager and Team Leaders under you who are able to open/close the doors and cash registers
- Weekends are only worked as needed if your store is under performing

Positions supervised: All hourly retail employees

- Must have High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Business-related field preferred
- Must have light production/supervisory experience
- Proven ability to supervise, coach, and train a diverse staff; experience with managing employees with disadvantages is a plus
- Experience with implementation and enforcement of safety procedures
- Strong process and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work a rotating schedule, including some evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel between different Company locations
- Experience with motivating employees in a physically demanding work environment
