Job Description
This company operates worldwide in the fields of automotive technology, steel and tube production, engineering and distribution is looking for a Reliability/Process Engineer at their Shreveport, Louisiana facility. This role is for the Steel/Tube Division which employs around 3, 800 people in Europe and the US. The division owns seven productions sites as well as seven sales offices and generated around $1.2 billion in 2021.
The Process Engineer is responsible for the set up and performance of the mill. There is a tremendous amount of detail required for this technical position, and the candidate has complete technical responsibility to their assigned area in all disciplines. You will have responsibilities for all products, the current products catalog, and future products.
The Process Engineer will work closely with the Production and Maintenance Teams to investigate and eliminate all quality, reliability, and process concerns.
Duties:
- Required to analyze data from rolling lots and develop standards to produce the products
- Be responsible for making changes in the rolling design to pass and profile changes
- Be responsible for the evaluation of new products with research of current tooling and for identifying new tooling when needed
This position may require travel to other countries, universities, and technical seminars. You should possess a great deal of troubleshooting skills and be able to explain all issues regarding the process in great detail. You will be required to report any and all issues or modifications to the Production and Maintenance Managers.
