Job Description

The position of Reliability Engineer is an excellent fit for a veteran with a background in electrical maintenance and engineering. The Reliability Engineer plays a critical role in the Maintenance Department, offering leadership and technical expertise to enhance the reliability of equipment and processes. This role involves collaborating closely with the Maintenance Manager to serve as the Reliability Pillar Leader, driving improvements in plant uptime, asset utilization, efficiency, and overall capability. For veterans with experience in electrical maintenance and engineering, this role provides a meaningful opportunity to apply their skills to ensure the seamless operation of machinery and systems.

One of the key responsibilities of the Reliability Engineer is to champion reliability-centered maintenance activities, applying professional maintenance techniques to enhance equipment reliability. This aligns well with the experience that veterans bring to the table, as they have a solid foundation in disciplined maintenance practices. The engineer is also responsible for capturing and reporting key performance indicators related to equipment reliability and maintenance processes. Veteran's attention to detail and dedication to precision make them well-suited to this role, ensuring that all performance metrics are meticulously tracked and managed on the reliability pillar board.

Another crucial duty of the Reliability Engineer is to establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs and maintain equipment maintenance history databases. Candidates with experience in electrical maintenance can leverage their expertise in areas such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermal imaging to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of these programs. Their hands-on experience with electrical systems and equipment makes them well-qualified to oversee and improve these crucial aspects of maintenance.

The Reliability Engineer is also responsible for analyzing maintenance key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement. This role involves collaborating with maintenance supervisors to schedule manpower resources for optimal production and maintenance outcomes, which requires strong organizational skills and a systematic approach, attributes often honed by veterans during their military service. Additionally, the engineer develops cost and time estimates for planned maintenance work, demonstrating the ability to manage resources efficiently.

Finally, the role of Reliability Engineer demands a strong understanding of industrial electrical power distribution, motors, breakers, transformers, safety programs, and policies. Candidates with a background in electrical maintenance and engineering possess the technical knowledge and safety awareness necessary to excel in this position. By performing these duties and responsibilities, veterans with this background can make a significant contribution to the success of the Maintenance Department and the overall reliability of the facility's operations.
This is a 24/7 operation and reliability is crucial.

They really want someone who is disciplined, experienced with electrical engineering, predictive and preventative maintenance, and root cause analysis. They have a lot of custom-made equipment that you have probably never seen before, so you must be hard wired for learning, someone who wants to learn and grow with them, being in it for the long haul.

This is a Monday - Friday day shift role 7am to 3pm but there is some flexibility to these hours. You will also be on call for emergencies and outages. It is rare but you will work some weekends when these do occur.

Base salary DOE, plus a great benefits package, and a 10% bonus that could be more.
