Regional Sales Manager NW
Participation in industry trade shows and other forms of lead generation will be a part of the job. Provide regular written reports regarding all significant activity in territory. Participate in business forecasts as necessary. Support the various TMS business units as the direct customer contact for all aspects of the business from initial contact thru product delivery.
The position will require timely and consistent interactions with customers to develop rapport and establish confidence and loyalty within the customer base. These interfaces will be across various different departments as required.
The position will also require the successful candidate to become a student of the markets which we serve and to track and understand the various programs that we are trying to sell our products into. A fair amount of market research is required in order to adequately understand what is required to sell into the customer base.
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), proven strategic planning skills and a demonstrated sales aptitude. The successful candidate must have an ability to work well with various customer departments including purchasing, engineering, program management, quality and manufacturing.
The position will require overnight travel approximately 30% of the time in order to adequately cover the geographic territory. The position must be supported by a home based office. The position can be located anywhere within the geographic territory with the preference being in the Seattle, WA area.
