Job Description
They are seeking military-experienced candidates to begin training for their rewarding Reactor Operator positions. Nuclear power reactor operators control nuclear reactors. They adjust control rods, which affect how much electricity a reactor generates. They monitor reactors, turbines, generators, and cooling systems, adjusting controls, as necessary. Operators start and stop equipment and record the data produced. The power grid is critical to modern life and nuclear power is carbon zero and provides the necessary baseload for demand no matter if the sun is out or the wind is blowing. Retirement eligibility and a renaissance in nuclear power has the industry positioned for strong advancement.
The positions work a rotating shift work, 3 nights, 3 off, 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 3 off, 3 days with a 4-day training schedule in rotation. 15-days on, 15days off in a typical month.
