As a Quality Assurance Tech Rep/Trainer you will be assisting with training in Ludlow, MA for customers and contractors approximately once a month for 1 day training sessions once you are trained and up to speed, in addition to your regular duties. When you are not assisting with training you will ensure quality control of the installation and claims made on roofing through visual and physical inspection of all field workmanship, you will maintain compliance to current specifications and promote the company's products. You will schedule visits to customer sites completing all corporate assigned evaluations, leak calls, and repairs per priority status. You may be asked to assist contractors or sales reps with roof measurements, lay-outs, and other requests. Your people skills will be very important as at times you will be working with customers after a claim has been made. They will be giving you up to 30 days paid training at their corporate headquarters in Saginaw, MI, you will be put up in their corporate facility. After you return from Saginaw you will receive more training in Ludlow about getting you ready to train contractors who install and inspect these roofs. There may also be a rep that comes into your territory to work with you or you may have to go into that person's territory to work with them for additional training. At some point in your career, you may be the one asked to go into another territory to train some new reps. All of this training will help you become the Company expert and these contractors, sales reps and customers will depend on you for training and advice. If you have a maintenance background or have any construction/roofing experience, have the ability to learn and are self-motivated, articulate and present a professional image this could be a great opportunity for you to shine and grow.
This position also requires approximately 20-30% overnight travel (or equivalent of 1 week/month).
Good communications skills with some maintenance experience. Must have Vertical Construction or Roofing Experience; training or instructing background. MUST be okay with travel 1-2 nights a week. MUST be comfortable with heights.
