Job Description

In this position, you will ensure quality control through visual and physical inspection of all field workmanship of roofs installed by outside contractors and/or company installation teams. You will maintain compliance to current specifications and promote products to clients. You will schedule visits to customer sites completing all corporate assigned evaluations, leak calls, and repairs per priority status. You will also help with the training of contractors as designated by the corporate office. You may be asked to assist contractors or sales reps with roof measurements, lay-outs, and other requests. Customer service skills are very important because you will be working with customers after a claim has been made.

For the most part, outside contractors install these roofs and you set your schedule based on their and the clients schedule to inspect them after installation or if there is an issue down the road. You will need to show you have strong communication and people skills as these are just as important as your problem solving/quality assurance skills.

Training will either be near the location you are hired for or at their corporate facility in Saginaw, MI for 3-4 weeks or more. If in Saginaw, they will put you up locally and pay you for this time. They will continue training if needed until you are ready to go out on your own. This training will help you become an expert and these contractors, sales reps and customers will depend on you for training and advice. At some point in your career, you may be the one asked to go into another territory to train a new rep. This is a physically demanding role that will have you inspecting and repairing roofs. You will be climbing ladders and at times working on your hands and knees and they need someone who can handle this type of environment.

Travel: You will travel in a company-provided vehicle to job sites each day but overnight travel is limited to about 25% or a total of one week/month.

If you work a weekend, you get overtime for Saturday at time and a half and on Sunday it is double-time.
