Job Description

Our client is the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the United States. They offer an exciting opportunity for engineers to make a significant impact. With a rich history from 1886, our client is dedicated to delivering a reliable source of safe, clean, and affordable drinking water and wastewater services to millions of people and military installations nationwide. As one of the fastest-growing utilities in the US, they plan to invest $30 to $34 billion in infrastructure improvements and regulated acquisitions over the next decade. They are committed to safety, sustainability, and inclusive practices, receiving multiple recognition for excellence.

This role aligns perfectly with military veterans, their skill sets, and values. In September 2020, our client was awarded a 50-year contract to manage water and wastewater utilities at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Washington. Veterans can be part of an engineering team that supports critical capital projects, making a real difference in their community and the nation.

Your main duty will involve engineering tasks related to water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This includes preparing feasibility studies, defining project scopes, reviewing proposals, obtaining permits, and overseeing facility designs. Typical projects may involve rehabilitating and replacing water mains, sewage systems, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. You'll also be responsible for conducting project reviews, field investigations, and cost estimations under the supervision of a manager.

In this role you will serve as a technical resource and primary point of contact for key stakeholders involved in construction projects. Effective communication, leadership, and collaboration skills are essential in this position.

You will spend a significant portion of your time in an office setting but will also be involved in fieldwork. It's important to note that this role may require you to pass a Department of Defense background check for access to military installations, a process where your military experience will be an advantage.

Your role as the client will contribute to ensuring the continued provision of essential water services, both to civilian communities and military bases, making it a meaningful and impactful opportunity for veterans.

This engineering position offers a competitive salary range, growth potential, and a comprehensive benefits package. If you're a motivated individual with a background in engineering and a passion for making a difference, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our client and be part of a team dedicated to "keeping life flowing" for millions of Americans and military personnel.

Salary plus bonus (12%), full medical/dental/vision and a 401k plan
