Production Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for direct supervision of all production personnel to include supervisors and production technicians. You are responsible for the safety of the production floor and for engaging employees in safety programs and activities to drive safety improvements. The candidate will be responsible for product quality and production efficiency. You are expected to be able to set budgets and establish key metrics for the factory. This would include product yields, equipment upgrades, safety metrics, financial targets for daily performance, monthly forecasts among others. The individual needs to be able to take a strong and even handed approach to leading cross functional teams in daily meetings. You need to be driven and focused with strong management, communication and technical skills.

Essential duties:

Provide the leadership for all production personnel in the factory through daily meetings, training and communication.

Organizes the activities of all assigned personnel including supervisors, technicians and daylight personnel to drive safety, quality and output at the factory to achieve all assigned goals.

You will be responsible for all equipment and production operations for a 24/7 operation. This includes leading and managing cross functional teams to deliver results.

The candidate will be responsible for achieving zero injuries and protecting the safety of all employees assigned to their department.

Manages performance of all assigned staff, setting goals and objectives, and reviewing performance regularly.

Regularly communicates status with senior leadership including performance to daily, weekly and monthly operations goals.

Will report directly to the Operations Director.
Leadership Experience in a manufacturing enviornment; certified in LEAN Manufacturing - Willing to be hands-on while on the production floor - ability to create and implement KPI's - Attention to safety
