Production Manager Development Position
The Production Manager will be directly responsible to the Plant Manager and GM for the production, cost control, continuous improvement of the production process. The Production Manager will be indirectly leading production employees and is responsible for their safety, training, performance appraisal, and so on.
In this role you will plan and manage the day to day allocation of resources (equipment, about 20 people, materials, and systems) to efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively achieve performance targets.
This position will begin on 1st shift but will require that you are flexible to spend time on the 2nd shift to learn the different business requirements of that shift as well.
The candidate should be ready to be hands on, working side by side with production employees to learn what they do, how they do it, and what challenges they face.
You will be an "on floor" leader and be seen by production employees and not just in an office all day.
Ultimately you will be developed into higher level leadership positions and should aspire to begin a career here and open to other locations in the future.
$75 - $85k/year DOE. Benefits
