The Electrical Maintenance Technician position is a core component of our maintenance department and requires a trained and experienced individual to contribute to our success as a steelmaker. The successful candidate will be a leader in safety and help in achieving the company's goal of zero recordable accidents. The candidate will also have the ability to function well working alone and in a team environment. This position will be responsible for maintaining the rolling mill electrical and control systems. You will be expected to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, calibration, installation and all necessary support of the equipment in the rolling mill. You will also work to support and work as a team with the mechanical maintenance technicians. You will be trained extensively on our products, processes, and equipment so be ready and willing to learn!
Working Hours: Night Shift 6: 00pm - 6: 00am on a 5-2-2-5 schedule rotation with a guarantee of 36 hours your 1st week and 48 guaranteed hours on your 2nd week with ample overtime available. You will train on the day shift and shadow senior level techs but required to work on nights until you get bumped up.
Compensation: Depending on experience - Level 1 Techs will start off between $20 - $25 per hour / Level 2 Techs $25 - $28 per hour / Level 3 Techs $28 - $33 per hour. You will be given the opportunity to promote in rank and pay every six months allowing for a quick path towards growth. Competitive benefits package.
