Job Description

This critical role directs the development of detailed plans and schedules for forced, planned, and refueling outages while ensuring safety during shutdown, adherence to ALARA practices, technical specifications, and plant procedures. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the outage schedule during the execution of the outage, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the company's power generation facilities.

Primary duties and accountabilities:

- Direct and coordinate the detailed schedule and outage plan development for the upcoming unit outage to ensure technical specification compliance and maintain shutdown safety in a manner consistent with station procedures, processes, and goals
- Participate and provide oversight of horizontal schedule reviews and vertical slice reviews
- Provide direction to all departmental planners, schedulers, and specialized teams for the outage plan and schedule preparation and execution
- Direct the development, implementation, and communication of the Shutdown Safety Program
- Direct the outage plan and schedule execution ensuring technical specification compliance while maintaining shutdown safety consistent with station procedures, processes and goals
- Perform HIT and Focus team tracking, provide oversight of effectiveness
- Coordinate risk screening per OU-AA-101-1011.
- Develop and maintain forced and maintenance outage plans. Coordinate OCC training and table top drills.
- Support development of presentation material for T meetings;conduct 4.0 critiques for the capture of lessons learned;conduct gap analysis and updates to the station outage template.

- Responsible for intradepartmental communication and working relationship to establish an outage plan to meet the station goals
- Supports and participates in the outage management peer team initiatives
- Mentors others in the work management organization
- Make decisions that directly impact outage safety management, duration and scope during planning and execution

- Provides oversight of horizontal reviews and vertical slice meetings conducted by schedulers to ensure that appropriate participation, commitments and goals are achieved
- Ensure the forced outage packages up to date
- Coordinate and develop shutdown safety management plan
- Coordinate shutdown safety review board meetings, independent shutdown safety review and present to PORC
- Monitor implementation of the shutdown safety program during outage execution.
- Own milestones associated with schedule development and risk screening
- Support development of pre-outage meeting packages and Saturday call packages during outage execution
- Monitor HIT and Focus Team performance to assure effectiveness during outage execution
- Maintain station GAP analysis and outage templates up to date
- Function as designee for the Outage Manager and delegate in their absence

Base salary, plus a 15% annual incentive plan performance bonus, relocation assistance and world-class benefits.
