A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of the mechanical equipment throughout the site using personal decision-making to ensure minimal disruption to the production process. They need people with mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience (not parts changers or preventative maintenance experience) maintaining high speed rotating equipment, such as turbines and compressors with the ability to align, troubleshoot, disassemble, and rebuild production equipment such as reciprocating compressors, belts, hoses, pumps, valves, motors, drives, sprockets, who show potential, are adaptable and the ability to learn. You must have experience with hand and power tools, lubrication experience and you may also be required to do some basic welding and work on milling equipment, but they will provide you with training (OJT) for this. A Mechanic may be required to work in one or more plant areas, doing one or multiple assignments during any given work-shift. This position requires a high level of self-management, punctuality, good attendance, and the ability to adjust to a variety of assignments.
They are looking for candidates with basic mechanical experience who show potential, are adaptable, can learn and have good character. This is a job that will have you on your feet at least 5-6 hours per day, standing and walking takes place upon concrete, asphalt, metal grated and diamond steel plated walkways and stairways. You will be required to climb as high as 5 flights of stairs 3-4 times a day to reach work area. Must be able to kneel, crouch, or crawl to reach restricted access work areas a minimum of 1-2 times daily and work in hot and cold temperatures.
This is a day shift position that works Monday-Friday from 7: 00 to 3: 30 that at times gets some overtime but not on a constant basis.
