Job Description
While it is not a direct leadership role you will need to lead Continuous Improvement projects, so any PM experience, especially in the maintenance world will be relatable. You will lead teams, implementing process improvements through time studies, process mapping, value-stream mapping, spaghetti diagram and workload balancing with cross-functional team collaboration. You will also be the Project Manager for equipment installs, or rebuilds, as well as working on Process or Project improvement.
They need someone who always asks the question,? How do we make things run better, smoother, more efficiently? Someone with Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement training, and who has experience creating, improving, streamlining, and initiating more process improvement. If you have improved maintenance or procedural processes in your career, that is what you need to be able to speak about.
You will also develop, evaluate, and recommend improvements in manufacturing methods via new processes and modifications, minimization of costs, and effective application of production capabilities. They will expect you to utilize standard lean tool sets and achieve safety and process improvements through reductions in cycle-time, rework, scrap, inventory, overtime, space, on-time completions, and so on.
You will also need the communication skills to collaborate with the manufacturing team to analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, material routing and handling methods, manufacturing processes and methods, machine and tool design applications, workflow and new technology and layout designs of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency, safety and quality. This is a Monday-Friday day shift role that is on call for emergencies.
