Maintenance Utility Technician

The basic functions of Maintenance Utility Technician are to utilize knowledge and skills to support a plant wide Building & Structural maintenance team including building and component inspections, preventive maintenance, door repair, HVAC, fabrication and construction projects. You will participate in a training and development action plan required for continuous improvement and support of the maintenance and production teams. You will also develop and implement projects for continuous improvement. As with any position with Company having excellent interpersonal and communication skills is imperative. You will also need a thorough understanding of general maintenance principles and a passing grade on a mechanical utility test. You will need to show a demonstrated commitment to Safety, Quality & Profitability and be self-motivated, goal oriented and have a desire for excellence.

They need a team player with high level of energy and enthusiasm who has a willingness to perform maintenance, construction and fabrication assignments as a multi-trade craftsman. You must show you are cost driven, organized, and analytical problem solver and have the ability to troubleshooting systems, identify corrective actions and develop long term strategies.

In this role you will start off on day shift, working in the Maintenance Utility department. This department handles not just facility maintenance but also helps out with machinery and equipment maintenance, rotating through all maintenance departments. The utilities team is a feeder team for the regular maintenance teams and eventually members of this team must move on to a shift maintenance technician role where you will make more money and work the standard rotating shift of 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on 4 nights off.

- Maintenance experience
- Welding certification and fabrication experience
- Understanding importance of quality affect from plant maintenance activities

First year can expect to make approximately $75 - $85k first year. Base pay will be about $20k but you will receive bonuses that are based on production and team performance. Great benefits package
