Overall responsibility for performing routine and extensive electrical and mechanical maintenance repair and construction operations/procedures on plant utility systems, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
Work from drawings, sketches, charts, samples, maintenance work orders (MWRs) and verbal instructions.
Troubleshoot and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Systems include PC, PLC, microprocessor and relay logic equipment consisting of input/output modules and ladder logic diagrams.
Additionally, you must be proficient in use of computers and specific technical software applications for interfacing to PLC, PC, and microprocessor for effective troubleshooting. Capable of creating and modifying PLC programs as technological advances require or demand.
Designing small PLC operated control systems including industrial control wiring and panel layout. Capable of interpreting various types of ladder logic, including Allen Bradley, for proper diagnostics. Root cause analysis of system malfunctions with the use of modern diagnostic equipment.
Also perform repairs and installs electrical wiring and equipment; electrical services including conduit runs, panel and junction boxes, switches and controls and busbar; wiring during remodeling and new facility construction.
Make minor motor repairs, cleans and replaces bearings. Carry out preventative maintenance activities on critical machinery and equipment.
This role is for someone with strong technical ability and knowledge, self-motivated to get on shift and get to word. Someone eager to learn more about industrial equipment and the related maintenance to keep the plant operating as efficiently as possible. A safety proponent who will not only act with a safety-first mindset, but who will also be watchful of other's safety.
These positions are 2nd shift, from 3pm - 11pm offering the opportunity to work a non-traditional schedule.
There are 3 levels of technician, A, B and C evaluated through a technical testing process.
Testing and advancement is self-paced. Career opportunities include higher levels of technician and engineering, maintenance leadership, supply chain, operations leadership or customer service.
$20 - $27/hr. Depending on technical assessment with overtime and competitive benefits ($55 - $65k)
