Maintenance Technician

Orlando, FL

Industry: Food/Beverage Job Number: A300C7F0-6C90-461E-8694-2978EE1F15B1 Pay Rate: $55 - $65K

Job Description

This client is a specialty manufacturer of beverage, syrups, and ingredient products for the foodservice industry, and is looking to add military veterans to their maintenance team.

In this role, you'll report to the maintenance manager, who will ensure you receive the preventative maintenance roster for the day. While no day is ever the same, you can expect to install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment, while complying with workplace safety regulations. You'll inspect machines for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing. You'll also monitor, identify, and respond promptly to signs of malfunctions in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells or atypical energy usage.

A heavy mechanical maintenance background and firm understanding of pumps, values and pneumatics will make you a successful candidate. But, even more important than that, this client is looking for a team player. This is not a plant where the words, "that's not my job" come into play, and you will regularly see cross training between teams to build individual's maintenance backgrounds, and ensure their buddies are taken care of. This is a family run company, and the shop floor is run in the same way.

This company has experienced explosive growth in the past 24 months, so job security is not an issue. This is also a value and culture-based company who puts their money where their mouth is. The Maintenance Manager had his engineering degree paid for by the client, based on long term projects to make him a Controls Engineer. The bottom line, when you invest in the company this company will invest in you.

Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm.

There is typically 3-5 hours of overtime per week, with the high season (summer months) being 5-7 hours of overtime per week. No weekends. 6% match 401k, and a college reimbursement program.
