Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Welcome to a great position with a strong company that hires hundreds of military technicians and then promotes them regularly. The very cool thing about this position is that whether you are mechanical, electrical or electronics, they have people with strengths in those areas who can teach you the disciplines that you do not have, so they can hire a candidate with any one of those three backgrounds. This is a Monday-Friday, 7am - 330pm position.

- Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical equipment and systems
- Disassembly/assembly of rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and so on to repair/replace bearings, gears, seals, structural components and the like
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, process drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
- Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves, and ability to perform equipment alignments
- Utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), plan and execute maintenance activities including procurement of parts, supervision of maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow up required documentation
- Complete repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems
- Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities
- Manage inventory of critical spares for mechanical systems
- Plan, schedule, estimate costs, coordinate, and perform maintenance activities for site outages
- Support root cause analysis program for routine and/or major failures of mechanical systems
- Contribute to mechanical and process reliability as needed

Base salary, the position is eligible for overtime, even though salaried. Relocation and great benefits.
