Maintenance Technician
Lyons, GA US
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician you serve as the support to the manufacturing and packing teams, by providing quality maintenance support services to maximize machine availability and minimize downtimes. During high season (May - September) you'll work 2nd shift (5pm to midnight) with .75 cents shift differential tacked onto your hourly rate. During high season you can expect to work 5-15 hours of overtime per week, with some Saturday work (currently when preventative maintenance is conducted), meriting time and a half.
There is no Sunday work for this role. Low season runs from September to April where you'll work 1st shift, with an estimated 10 hours/week in overtime. 1st shift runs from 5am to 2pm, however, you'll only be programmed for 8 hours in that time, rotating and overlapping with other maintenance technicians on your team.
Throughout the day, you'll conduct troubleshooting as the production team identifies issues with equipment at the plant. You will also be responsible for maintaining sufficient parts, tools, lubricants, supplies, motors, valves and equipment in operational order to repair equipment on site.
A heavy mechanical skillset will make you successful in this role. A solid working knowledge with pumps, valves and some pneumatics experience are what the client is searching for within the military community. A "can-do" attitude and not being afraid to cry (you'll be working on onion peeling equipment). This is a small, tight knit team--so you must be able to work by, with and through others at the facility.
Base salary, shift differential, and full benefits (vision, dental, medical).
