Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Our client is a family owned and operated food manufacturer based out of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. They have a strong veteran presence in their workforce and are looking to expand the maintenance department with transitioning soldiers who are looking to utilize their technical acumen in the civilian workforce.

They have 1st and 2nd shift positions available throughout the maintenance department whether that be Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, or a Utilities Technician. Position summary:

- Responsible for daily preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs
- Work as part of a team to improve plant reliability and efficiency
- Daily communication with the Maintenance Supervisor and the Maintenance Planner to improve plant reliability

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, repair, maintain and troubleshoot at the highest levels
- Provide safe, reliable and efficient operation
- Log time and material usage into CMMS for PMs and corrective maintenance
- Assist in supporting the company's preventative maintenance program
- Maintain proper housekeeping in all areas
- Assist in other areas of plant maintenance as required

Basic qualifications:

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels
- Must demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Show self-reliance in all aspects of maintenance
- Possess excellent customer service skills such as problem solving, timeliness, and follow-up- required
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to enhance PM and PDM maintenance strategies
