The company's Middletown, CT facility is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. As Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for the following tasks to support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company:
Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
Adhere to appropriate company operating procedures, benefit rules, employment policies and safety policies.
Operates and maintains all Maintenance Department equipment and machinery.
Performs all scheduled preventive maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, AC/DC drives and PLC trouble shooting/programming.
Knowledge of EPA and DEP permitting for air, water discharge and solvent processing.
Interprets blueprints, technical drawings and schematics.
Installs, moves, repairs and removes equipment and utilities within the building.
Experienced with three phase power systems, PLC controls, trouble shooting and PM programs.
Basic proficiency in Cad Cam a Plus.
Interfaces closely with the production and all plant support groups to ensure projects are defined accurately and executed effectively.
Directs daily functions of the maintenance department. Organizes and ensures preventive maintenance schedules.
Acts as a technical resource to help achieve manufacturing goals in the area of safety, cost, quality and service to the customer.
Excellent problem solving and trouble - shooting skills.
Ability to diagnose, define problems and resolve issues quickly.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Familiar with local, state building codes and OSHA regulations.
Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.
Available to work off shift if the need arises.
Responsible to maintain adequate spare parts inventory.
Location: Middletown, CT (15 miles south of Hartford, CT)
Working Hours: 1st shift with the expectation to be on call 24/7 and meet with 2nd shift
