Job Description

An industry leading medical textile rental service provider serving the Healthcare industry is seeking a hands on Maintenance Manager for their industrial maintenance team at their Lawrence, MA, plant. This is a highly visible role which oversees an Asst. Plant Manager and a second shift Maintenance Supervisor. The role also oversees a staff of 15 mechanics and 15 porters.

The Maintenance Manager position requires you to take charge of and supervise all aspects of the maintenance department, including personnel, purchasing, machinery repair, preventive maintenance systems, and so on. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities include:

- Maintains a preventative maintenance program for plant equipment utilizing manuals as well as PC based tools
- Leads the maintenance team in performing diagnostic troubleshooting on all equipment in the plant
- Monitors the quality of repairs
- Interprets production reports and their use in improving operations
- Interfaces with production management and line personnel to dine the most effective ways to operate equipment
- Purchases and maintains proper spare parts in inventory that will balance tying up capital with minimizing plant downtime
- Interfaces with boiler chemical suppliers to ensure proper maintenance of boiler
- Identifies building and physical plant repair issues
- Maintains porter schedule to maximize cleaning effectiveness of plant and machinery
- Maintains proper inventory of chemical supplies
- Interfaces with production personnel to allow repairs to be made to minimize impact on production
- Controls energy costs through effective monitoring of machine performance and operation schedules
- Maintains safety programs
- Updates the technical publication library (equipment, blueprints, schematics, and so on)

5-day work week. 1 weekend day per week required. (Sunday -Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday,) 6 am to close. About 10/11 hours day.

Base salary BOE, plus full benefits and growth, (flexible for the right candidate, background, and experience) 5% merit bonus potential, matching 401k. Relocation, sign on, on a case by case basis.
