Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Install, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment, as well as electrical systems and components on a variety of machines utilized in the plant to include, but not limited to CNC equipment, manual equipment, metal cutting equipment, presses, and forklifts. Perform simple welding repair and fabrication of items from blueprints. Perform a variety of installation and repair assignments, including minor plumbing work. Perform construction of minor and major woodworking projects. Utilize books and blueprints to locate and repair faulty components. Use precision measuring instruments to check machine accuracy (voltmeters, calipers, dial indicators, etc.) Specify and requisition replacement parts using books, prints, and catalogs. Keep all maintenance equipment clean and properly stored. Contribute to the cleanliness, efficiency, and safety of the facility. Apply the principles of lean manufacturing (ABS) in accordance with Policy Deployment.
$18 - $25 per hour Depending on Experience + Overtime at time and a half + Full comprehensive benefits package
This position will be the only maintenance support on 2nd shift (2: 00 - 10: 30 pm). Initial training will take place on 1st shift for a period of time until readiness to transition to a 1st or 2nd shift role. There will be formal on the job training and shadowing of senior-level techs. 1st shift hours are 7: 00 am - 2: 00 pm and second shift hours are 2: 00 pm - 9: 30 pm EST, Monday - Friday.
