They have Installer and Service Field Service roles they are looking to hire for. In these roles you will be responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity. Also delivers assigned projects effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules. Acts as key interface for technical support with the customer and maximizes customer satisfaction.

These are two similar, yet slightly different roles. As a Service Specialist or Technician, the colleague is key interface for the provision of technical support and training for the customer and as such is accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction.

A colleague hired as an Installer, installs systems, and works closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing installation support and initial training.

The key things they are looking for in either role is strong low voltage electronic system troubleshooting and repair experience to go along with Networking experience as you will be integrating systems. If you have these skills, they will train you on their systems but make sure you let them know if you have alarm or security system experience. On top of this they emphasized that you would need to show you are a problem solver who is a self-starter who has the excellent communication skills needed to provide great customer service.

Some other skill sets you will need are:

- You able to read basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures
- You able to interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools
- Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions

There is little overnight travel for this position, except for training purposes or if assistance in another area is needed. If there is any travel it is around 10%.
