Job Description

Our client is filling Installer and Service Field Service roles. In these roles you are responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity. You will deliver assigned projects effectively within budgeted cost and time schedules. You act as the key interface for technical support with the customer and you'll maximizes customer satisfaction.

These are two similar, yet slightly different roles:

As a Service Specialist or Technician, the candidate is the key interface for the provision of technical support and training for the customer and as such is accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction.
As an Installer, the candidate installs systems and works closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing installation support and initial training.
The key things our client is looking for in either role is strong low voltage electronic system troubleshooting and repair experience to go along with networking experience as you will be integrating systems. If you have these skills, they will train you on their systems but make sure you let them know if you have alarm or security system experience. On top of this they emphasized that you will need to show you are a problem solver who is a self-starter who has the excellent communication skills needed to provide great customer service.

Some other skill sets need are:
- Able to read basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures
- Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repair equipment, utilizing your knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools
- Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions

There is little overnight travel for this position, except for training purposes or if assistance in another area is needed. If there is any travel it is probably around 10%.

They have started a Grow Your Own Veteran Program where they will be hiring Veterans for positions in several locations across the country and bring them all into Atlanta for a two week on boarding and training program that will start on 10/5/20. (You may be able to start sooner than this at your designated location and they will get you to Atlanta for this date). You must be able to start by 10/5/20 though.

$25 - $30/hr Depending on experience.
