Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Wilmington, DE

Industry: Manufacturing, Other Job Number: 40567 Pay Rate: $50 - $60k
Typical work activities include, but are not limited to:

- Installing, maintaining, upgrading and fabricating machinery and equipment
- Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions
- Repairing or replacing defective machinery parts
- Fabricating parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
- Performing routine maintenance work on machinery
- Assembling machinery prior to installation
- Operating machinery tools to fabricate parts
- Rigging and handling; Bearing, seals and packing; Centering and setting to elevation; Vibration analysis; Leveling and aligning
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications; CMMS (MP2)
- Conducting preventative maintenance
- Providing mechanical knowledge, capability and expertise

Type of machinery and equipment:

Conveyors; Elevators; Gear boxes; Industrial and stationary engines; Pumps and compressors; Rolling elements; Hoists and other lifting devices; Rock crushers; Grinders; Welding equipment, Gas and air dryers; lathes and other machining tools; Power tools; Fans and blowers; Hydraulic systems; Press bakes and metalworking equipment


- Certified designated Journeyman with a minimum of 4 years hands-on work experience in a manufacturing setting with a proven track record of measurable results
- Experience in setting up new production equipment, optimizing and enhancing existing equipment
- Basic, conceptual design skills, knowledge of Auto CAD is an asset
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), knowledge of MP2 is an asset
- Excellent organization and analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
