Industrial Electrical Estimator

Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations technical training and related experience
5 to 10 years heavy industrial electrical estimating/take-off experience (power, oil and gas, manufacturing, and chemical estimating)
Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts and meet deadlines
Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts
Strong Estimating software (MC2, Accubid, and so on) and MS Office/EXCEL knowledge/experience
BlueBeam Revu software experience
Strong interpersonal and communications (written/oral) skills
Valid motor vehicle operator's license
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test, and MVR check

Key responsibilities:
Reviews/understand/interpret proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, and so on to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Reviews and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. Into unit and man-hour figures.
Provides complete conceptual (or bid work) and final estimating input on complex projects.
Provides technical support to personnel preparing discipline? Estimates for assigned bids.
Insures all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
Assists contracting department during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.
Tracks awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit; procuring materials.
Travel may be required.
