They need someone with an understanding of codes and regulations for service testing of components and welding. You will identify potential problems through condition-based monitoring of program equipment and PM optimization through feedback from Maintenance personnel and component PM reviews. You will also ensure that all engineering work is performed, and programs are implemented on a fleet level consistent with defined standards. You will develop, plan and coordinate special projects, corrective action plans, and improvement programs to address component problems or regulatory sensitive issues. You will also support Maintenance and Operations in component troubleshooting and provides component/discipline expertise for troubleshooting significant events or complex plant problems and support changes in assigned component configuration/design and associated design basis. During outages (once or twice a year) you will serve on outage engineering support teams.
You will be required to attend training and maintain qualifications necessary to perform required group functions. You will also ensure that fleet lessons are learned, and good practices implemented.
This is a Monday-Friday position that works a 9-day, 80-hour schedule, giving you every other Friday off. During outages you will be required to work off shifts at times, but you will make straight time overtime for any hours over 40 in a week. Outages happen once or twice a year.
There is some travel required, mostly in the first year for training or for outages at other locations when required. On a yearly basis travel is 5% or less after the first year.
