Managing Greenhouse Work Force: The General Manager will directly manage the work force of to achieve the objectives of the Company, including hiring, firing, labor planning and labor reporting to the Company. All employees, including the Head Grower and Production Supervisor, will report to the General Manager.
Production: The General Manager will be accountable for revenue, for operating expenses, for quality and for the operation of the facility. This includes production (WIP and people) planning and reporting, plant performance, labor management, balancing inputs, throughput and demand and facilities maintenance.
Profitability: The General Manager will be largely judged on the revenue of the Company and the (relative) operating expenses. The General Manager will lead our efforts to be a lean organization and will guide us through kaizen activities to improve system efficiencies.
Cleanliness and Order: The General Manager will be accountable for maintaining a neat, orderly and safe greenhouse facility and operation.
Lead KCM: The General Manager will work closely with the Head Grower and other members of the management team to (a) develop and execute the strategies to achieve their mission and (b) lead them to enable them to execute the strategies to achieve their mission.
Supply Chain and Logistics: The General Manager will be accountable for all supply chain and logistics matters.
Deliveries and Orders: The General Manager will be accountable for coordinating deliveries and orders with clients.
