Job Description

As the GCS Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for safe maintenance of gas and chemical systems used to supply materials to the site. This includes ensuring maintenance and projects meet site needs, and continuously improving in these areas of a world-class team. In this position, you are responsible for executing tasks focused on daily and long-term equipment management. You will achieve outstanding execution and safety performance in daily 24/7 maintenance of gas and chemical supply systems. You will coordinate with project teams to develop and execute projects to expand capacity and improve safety and reliability in material supply. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to maintain and improve equipment performance.

Primary responsibilities:

- Perform in the field operation of gas and chemical systems and conduct routine preventative maintenance
- Perform daily rounds to include parameter readings, equipment status checks and area audits
- Pull and analyze chemical and slurry samples as required
- Perform bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers and container changes
- Monitor equipment status and gas/chemical inventory to ensure reliable supply of gas and chemical feedstock to onsite manufacturing equipment
- Assist in identifying and resolving gas and chemical related manufacturing issues
- Commission and start up specialty gas and chemical delivery equipment
- Complete applicable pass down sections and work order closeouts to record shift task completion and capture any issues or operations carried over to the next shift
- Participate in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world class safety performance
- Comply with all applicable EH&S Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, forklift operations, lock out/tag out
program, confined space entry and respiratory protection
- Develop and improve equipment standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure SOPs are strictly followed
- Provide technical and safety training to junior operations personnel
- Report quality and safety issues immediately via the department's escalation process
- Support the development of safety and quality projects to improve GCS system performance and reliability
- Track and support startup, commissioning, and decommissioning activities for supply systems
- Troubleshoot, down to root cause and provide technical report to the maintenance lead
- Drive improvements in work processes, equipment, and part management, employing lean principles effectively
- Support management of CMMS for all assets, drive on-time PM (preventative maintenance) completion, provide input for improving PM strategies
- Serve as an ideal representative of the department

Shift A: Sunday through Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays (days), 645am -715pm
Shift B: Sunday through Tuesday, and alternating Saturdays (nights), 645pm -715am
Shift C: Thursday through Saturday, and alternating Wednesdays (days), 645am -715pm
Shift D: Wednesday through Friday, alternating Saturday (nights), 645pm? 715am

Base salary, plus a 12% annual bonus, overtime pay, shift differentials, relocation for candidates 75+ miles away from campus.
