First Line Maintenance Supervisor

The First Line Maintenance Supervisor is assigned to a specific area and has direct line responsibility for the craftsmen with in their area. The primary duty is to assure the safe, orderly and efficient execution of all maintenance work. The candidate acts to maximize the effectiveness and productivity of the craftsmen assigned to them, by adherence to the daily and weekly work schedule. This role supervises the mechanics that maintain and repair the production equipment and infrastructure within the operations area.

Key responsibilities:

- Drive to completion any action items that fall under their span of control. Resolution is expected at 100% in a timely manner.
- Know and understand all aspects of the Work Management Process for Maintenance.
- Continually coach, counsel, and motivate all direct reports to follow the Work Management Process and serve as a role model in this capacity for them to emulate.
- Accountable to provide the Maintenance Schedule manpower loading hours on a weekly basis.
- Drive the safe execution of work and look for areas of improvement in all safety and maintenance functions.
- Assure that both rework work orders and carryover work is kept to a level of 5% or less.
- Accountable to provide the Maintenance Schedule manpower loading hours on a weekly basis.
- Provide continual training, development, and performance appraisal for maintenance crew.
- Know and understand all aspects of the Work Management Process for Maintenance.

This is a Monday - Friday day shift role (6: 30 am - 4: 00 pm), but the supervisor should be prepared to work some overtime and off hours when necessary if the maintenance team is troubleshooting or dealing with maintenance related situations.
