Job Description

Here is a great unique opportunity to work as a regionally based Field Service Technician for an organization that provides the best in class electrical-thermal energy solutions for reciprocating power applications. This organization has been around for over 50 years and their mission is to provide integrated Combined Heat and Power solutions which are cost effective, highly efficient, and environmentally friendly.

As a field service technician for this organization, you will support clients gas engine-generator sets. You will work on equipment to include engine and exhaust heat recovery, fuel gas compressors, emissions, controls, switchgear, micro-grid systems, DC battery storage, mechanical and absorption chillers, bio-gas cleaning systems, cooling towers and components, and any other equipment, components and services required for fully operable and reliable CHP and DG solutions.

Your travel will be regionally focused with the goal of being home at the weekends. You will be provided with a company truck to conduct your travel operations.

You will be a great fit for this organization to serve as a senior Field Service Technician if you have electrical and mechanical experience. You should have a strong troubleshooting background and be able to speak about this in your interview. You also will want to have experience working on motors, reading diagrams, preventative maintenance experience, working with a customer, and have 5 to 10 years of overall maintenance experience. If you have diesel engine experience, compression, or reciprocating engine experience you would be the best fit.

You also will fit in at this organization as a junior Field Service Technician if you have 2-3 years of mechanical experience, overall mechanical aptitude, a can-do attitude that is willing to further their education with classes and training.

Focused locations: Anywhere within 1.5 hours of Manhattan, NY; New Jersey; Boston, MA, Upper Northeast USA; California near or around (Sacramento, Fresno, Stockton, Santa Maria, Bakersfield)

Pay: Depending on location, per diem - $65 a day for California and Boston/Northeastern region. $100 a day for Metro, NY
Relocation: For a midlevel or senior candidate

Benefits: Full medical, dental, and vision offered; 401k: company match $.90 for every $1.00 of an employee's deferred salary, up to 6.5%

PTO: 1 week for first year then move to 2 weeks and can work up to 4 weeks of PTO; 3 sick days and 8 holidays.

Educational reimbursements, company truck, credit card, $500 yearly tool allowance with $20, 000 insurance on tools.
