Field Service Technician

Portland, OR

Build your own schedule, work on leading edge technology for a manufacturer of optical systems, and industrial measurement and medical devices. In this role you will be the Field Service Technician and subject matter expert for coordinate measuring machines and solutions for multidimensional metrology. This is very expensive technology critical to your customer's businesses.

You will be the face of the company and will provide customer service activities associated with updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of highly complex capital equipment at customer sites. You will undergo a rigorous training program comprised of classroom work and OJT.

FST compensation is roughly $45k + overtime + 10% annual bonus, travel is paid and per diem per day, company vehicle, laptop and benefits (total compensation first year around $65 - $70k).

High travel 80 - 100% must be comfortable with this!

There is opportunity to increase your pay in this position as you moved up Tiers for the FST role. Tier 3-4 Techs make roughly $55-60k Base. A lot of Techs eventually move into Supervisor or Sales Engineer roles, or Application Engineer positions.

This is a great opportunity to work on very high-end technology equipment and grow into leadership or more Technical positions. They are looking for career-oriented Candidates.

Locations will be Portland, Oregon, Brighton, Michigan (great Schools, more suburban Michigan), Toledo or Findlay, Ohio, Birmingham to Mobile, AL or western SC over to Atlanta.
High Travel (80-100%)
