Field Service Technician

Orlando, FL

Industry: Business Svc/Acct/Legal/Security Job Number: B5DBD087-D4DB-47CE-A440-5838926601E0 Pay Rate: $70 - $80K

Job Description

This client is a 3rd party engineering consultant that works in the field of high sensitivity leak testing. They serve in nuclear power, radioactive material transportation, petrochemical, hydrogen power, silicon chip manufacturing, pharmaceutical and other critical industries. They are sourcing for multiple Field Service Technicians/Engineers that will travel for 3-4 days a week across the country to test for high sensitivity leaks. In the past, they have had great experiences hiring folks coming out of mechanical MOSs and NDT techs for these roles (MM, Nuke MM, GSM, AD, AGE, helo/aircraft mechs). If you have a mechanical background and enjoy traveling to new places, this is the job for you.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your technical expertise and begin a career with an engineering consultant firm that has hired many military folks. This is the type of job for someone who enjoys "not having the same day every day" and who would like to travel.

This client is looking to bring on folks for long-term growth within the organization. They can envision their field techs eventually transitioning into an engineering role down the line! They want to train you and they want you to grow within their company. Both full-time (12 month) and seasonal (8 month) positions are available.

Monday? Friday. Most weeks you'll fly out on Tuesday to a site and fly back Friday morning. All travel paid, per diem given. When not working at a project site, you can stay home or go into the office. You will be paid for a 40-hour work week no matter what and OT is available (5-10hrs/week).

To keep a work life balance, they make sure to limit travel to 3 or less work weeks a month at most. There is training on-site in Orlando, FL, for 4 months, then some OJT with more experienced techs. This is the type of job for someone who enjoys "not having the same day every day" and who likes to travel.

Base salary DOE. Medical, vision, dental, insurance that is fully paid by the company.
