Job Description

Are you the type of person who likes to use your technical troubleshooting skills to determine the right course of action? Do you enjoy being the point person to help others resolve technical issues? If so, you may have your new career ahead of you.

In this role, you will be the subject matter expert in integrated safety systems designed to keep patients safe. This is useful for protecting newborns all the way to those elderly patients in situations where they may wander.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be like a Swiss-Army Knife, providing product expertise, on-site support (reactive support), installation support, and instruction. You will deliver comprehensive system maintenance, updates, and upgrade services. The Field Service Technician requires some direction and assistance to perform the position's responsibilities and achieve assigned objectives. This technology is a mix of electrical (low-voltage power) electronics and some IT systems used to communicate in hospitals or patient care centers.

This position requires travel mostly within the assigned area and will involve some overnight hotel stays. On average, you are driving to and from your customers, rarely flying in the region. You should expect travel overnight to be less than 3 nights per week on average. However, you should be able to flex for the customer and situation. You are home on most weekends. Travel to other parts of the United States may occur, international travel, while possible, would be rare.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Provide expert on-site service support, including problem diagnosis, analysis, and repair services
- Provide installation support and product and system installation services
- Responsibilities may include telephone technical support and remote monitoring services
- Assume ownership of customer issues and follow through until issues are resolved
- Maintain appropriate levels of communication with the customer to ensure that the customer is well-informed before, during, and after service engagements
