Field Service Technician

Job Description
This organization is dedicated to serving the traffic safety equipment needs of law enforcement. They manufacture, market, and install innovative radar, lidar, video solutions and speed calming devices. They have been the leading company for the last 50 years.
As a field service technician, you will be installing radar, lidar, video solutions and speed calming devices. You will also get to spend one on one time with the officer whose vehicle you have outfitted and train them on how all of the equipment works. You will also be trained to go to your clients sites to repair any equipment that is malfunctioning.
Skills you should have:
- Understanding of electronics
- Troubleshooting experience
- Installation experience even if it was as a hobby such as installing radios into cars
- Communication skills are a must
- Familiar with basic test equipment such as oscilloscope. Power meters, signal generators
- Good computer skills.
Locations: The company would like to have a candidate as close to the Southeast corner of Kansas as possible, so if you are in Oklahoma, Arkansas, or Missouri don't count yourself out. They would also be happy to hire a candidate located in Charlotte, NC Nashville, TN, Knoxville, TN, Richmond, VA, Washington, DC area; or major cities close by to these areas.
Base salary, overtime, ESOP, a 401k w/ 100% match up to 3%, and 50% match up to 5%. Two weeks' PTO, one-week sick leave, paid travel, and a credit card. Tools are provided. Overtime should be around 10 hours a week due to traveling so can account for around 450-480 hours a year extra paid at time and a half.
Monday through Friday
Your direct supervisor was also in the military. He understands the military background. You will get the opportunity to do on the job training with him to learn your new trade. He is always accessible and open to his team. He has all the qualities of a caring and supportive leader.
