Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician performs successful startups and training of company thermal processing equipment, freezers, ovens, and grills. Performs startup service of equipment related to electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic parts. Applies knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in servicing and troubleshooting equipment issues.

Essential responsibilities:

Provides superior customer service for our customers.
Keeps supervisor informed on project status and escalates issues that may have arisen during the project installation.
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
Performs startup of new machines and maintains accurate service reports consistent with the Company's guidelines and procedures.
Reports defective materials to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Ensures work area and equipment is clean and in orderly condition.
Installs, starts up and shut downs equipment in accordance with Company procedures.
Follows and complies with OSHA regulations.
Assists customers with technical programming and troubleshooting.
Assists and trains customers on operation of equipment.
Provides over the phone customer service support to our customers.

Position requirements:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, manuals and schematics.
Ability to travel 65% of the time (mainly weekdays) to customer sites.
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must be able to travel internationally.
