Field Service Technician

With over 160 years of experience as a processing and packaging machine manufacturer with global presence in more than 30 countries--rest assured; no day will ever identical. The client's customers are as diverse as their products, ranging from premium brands in the food industry, to generics manufacturers to research-based pharmaceutical companies and start-ups to major corporations.
This is a high travel role (80% travel), where you can expect to be on the road Monday through Friday at various locations throughout the US, and at times, internationally (Germany). You will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintaining, repairing and training of the client's products at customer sites. You'll perform final machine acceptance inspections to machine shipment to verify that the equipment meets a customer's needs. You'll provide updates and modifications to machinery at the customer sites and train customers on the use and maintenance of the equipment. Occasionally, you will function as a site-manager, directing the workload and tasks of other field technicians, assembly and engineering personnel, while coordinating with the customer and other contract/ OEM site personnel.
The hiring official is highly interested in electro-mechanical switch hitters. An understanding of aligning, testing, troubleshooting down to the component level and being able to articulate that will demonstrate you can be customer facing and adhere to the company's values. They're leaning on the military to be customer facing and able to communicate effectively.
Base salary, plus overtime (expect 30 hours of overtime from travel. Medical, a 401k, education assistance program
