Field Service Engineer/Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Field Engineer/Technician to supervise the installation and commissioning of processing equipment for the Food, Chemical, Tobacco, Textile and Web Processing Industries. This individual would be based in Lexington, North Carolina and must be willing to travel to job sites in North America, South America, and Canada. Approximately 75% travel, for periods of up to 4 weeks. Some international travel may be required.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise customer's workforce and sub-contractors in the installation and erection of company supplied equipment and parts, using hoist, cranes, truck lifts, hand tools and power tools.
- Provide customer and operator training pertaining to company supplied equipment and parts.
- Must have a working knowledge of blueprints, schematic drawings and other drawings in an industrial establishment to determine work procedures.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and assisting in establishing a maintenance schedule.
- Structural steel, MIG, and TIG welding experience.
- Perform maintenance on the hydraulic pumps and filter systems.
- Assists crane technician with support duties.
- Maintain, organize, control, inventory supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.
- Inspection of assembled equipment to insure proper installation.
- Inspection of all operating parts to insure proper operation within expected tolerances.
- Tune and troubleshoot industrial burners for proper operation.
- Set machine to all customer product specifications.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley and Honeywell controls is a plus.
- Must be proficient in taking product samples for process test data.
- Provide customer and operator training pertaining to company supplied equipment and parts.
- Interact with internal and external project directors during trial runs.
- Clearly and professionally interact with customer regarding status of commissioning on a daily basis.
- Must have a working knowledge of blueprints, schematic drawings and other drawings in an Industrial establishment to determine work procedures.
- Able to determine tools and equipment required to perform scope of job.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist in establishing a yearly preventative maintenance schedule.
- Assemble, align and install equipment as necessary.
- Structural steel, MIG, and TIG welding experience is a plus.
- Attends classes and seminars on trade related topics, components and system design to update skills.
- Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.

Day one $25/hr., Full benefits, 8% 401k match, and so on
Top techs make over $45/hr. (deep 6 figures)



Must be open to approximately 75% travel for periods of up to 4 weeks
