Field Service Engineer

Philadelphia, PA

Industry: Manufacturing, Other Job Number: 90DD8D43-E65E-4BB5-B582-7C2ABDB1CD3B Pay Rate: $75 - $85K

Job Description

In this role, you will be the Field Service Technician for a large manufacturer of equipment used in the grinding and dispersion of materials. This equipment is critical in pharmaceutical environments when mixing/grinding the materials to make particles smaller for medical drug production. This position will provide installation, start-up, troubleshooting, training, and maintenance support for the equipment we manufacture for our customers in the US and Canada.

The company is looking to military veterans as an excellent pool of talent due to the focus on attention to detail, troubleshooting focus, and customer service-minded attitudes. You will travel to customers' locations to help install these systems, train on the proper usage and operator-based maintenance, help with maintenance processes, and be involved in emergency repairs when necessary. This role is supporting a new, key customer that this company supports. You will be their primary point of contact and an important cog as the customer continues to grow and expand.

This role is great for a mechanically minded technical candidate who understands the mechanical aspects of technology. Exposure to mechanical rotating equipment is ideal (such as pumps, valves) as the technology is connected. You should have some level of knowledge of electrical and electronic systems to help diagnose issues, but the core focus is mechanical knowledge. Due to the focus of this position, any experience in project management should be highlighted.

Beyond the technical ability, you should be an excellent customer advocate. You should be able to help fix the client before you fix the technical problem. Your interpersonal skills are just as important as your technical ability.

Base salary, overtime (average overtime of roughly 5 hours per week), reimbursement or per diem when traveling, medical, dental, vision, and a 401k.
