Job Description

Our client is a large manufacturer of equipment used in the grinding and dispersion of materials, and they are seeking a Field Service Technician. In this role, you will work on equipment that is critical for mixing/grinding materials to make particles smaller for pharmaceutical production. The candidate will provide installation, start-up, troubleshooting, training, and maintenance support for the equipment we manufacture for our customers in the US and Canada.

The company is looking to military veterans as an excellent pool of talent due to the focus on attention to detail, troubleshooting focus, and customer service-minded attitudes. You will travel to customers' locations to help install these systems, train personnel on the proper usage and operator-based maintenance, help with maintenance processes, and perform emergency repairs when necessary. You will be servicing a new, key customer as their primary point of contact and an be an important cog as the customer continues to grow and expand.

This role is great for a mechanically minded technical candidate who understands the mechanical aspects of technology. Exposure to mechanical rotating equipment is ideal (pumps, valves) as the technology is connected. You should have some level of knowledge of electrical/electronics to help diagnose issues, but the core focus is mechanical knowledge. Due to the focus of this position, any experience in project management should be highlighted.

Beyond your technical ability, you should be an excellent customer advocate. You should be able to help fix the client before you fix the technical problem. Your interpersonal skills are just as important as your technical ability.

Base salary, overtime, medical, dental, vision, and a 401k. The company pays per diem or will reimburse you when you are on the road.
