The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the start-up, testing, preventive maintenance and repair at client sites. This position requires air travel, on-call status, strong AC/DC power electronics and customer skills. This is a fast paced, exciting position which requires critical thinking and excellent troubleshooting skills. Our end users require 100% up time on their equipment and the Field Service Engineers provide the service to keep their business's in business. Responsibilities include travel up to 75% of the time leaving on Monday and returning on Friday but may require weekends on occasion. Occasional air travel is also required. Start-up, testing, preventive maintenance, and repair services of Ferro resonant and PWM power inverters, phase-controlled rectifiers and voltage regulators, static transfer switches, and large stationary batteries at client sites.
This position will be located in the Gulf Coast/Lake Charles area. Primary travel would be along interstate 10 between Houston and New Orleans. This includes offshore platforms in the gulf.
Salary range is $65 - $75k+, even though salaried, anything over 40 hours is overtime (can be significant and take into $80s), sign on bonus for relocation, and benefits.
